STORY OF THE IMAGE

While we were taking a simple family walk in the forest not far from home, a Squirrel darted through the pines and scrambled up a trunk to hide some ten meters above us in the dead branches.
At that time of evening, everything was a silhouette, and we could clearly see the tufts of its ears and its long, feathery tail against the sky. The rest of its details were barely visible. A quick sketch, neck bent, eyes glued to binoculars. Back home, I redrew it on watercolor paper to color it in.
